Hardwood Flooring

If you want selection, South Bruce Flooring has it! We have over 40 colours and grades to give your home the look you want and meet your budget. Quality is built-in every step of the way.

What do you need to decided when picking your hardwood floors? The four main choices are: Species, Flooring width, Flooring grade & Flooring gloss.

Here at South Bruce Flooring you can see we offer a wide variety of species sourced from Midwestern Ontario. From the classic species; Hard Maple & Ash. To more unique species like Cherry, Rustic Maple, Walnut, Elm, Beech, Pine, Oak & Hickory.

If you don't see a species listed feel free to call in and ask. We sometimes come across some rare Canadian trees well working in Midwestern Ontario.

Our hardwood flooring is available in 4 standard widths

  • 2 1/2 inch,

  • 3 1/4 inch,

  • 4 1/4 inch,

  • 5 inch

Choose from our Select, Tavern or Traditional Grade Flooring.

Choose between our gloss options: Semi-gloss, Low Sheen or Matte Finish. Our pre-finished hardwood floors have seven finishing coats to give the toughest, and best finish in the industry.

What is distressed? When the flooring has a wirebrush ran over it to give it that textured feeling. Distress on Ash and Oak floors is a great combination because it pulls out the grains in the floor. This option is available at an additional cost

Custom Colour is available at a additional fee. We ask that you bring in a sample piece for colour matching reasons.

Our hardwood flooring is available unfinished if requested.

Things to factor in when ordering hardwood flooring you would need to add waste. We recommend adding 3% waste, unless you have a lot of cuts you should consider 5-10%. If you are doing a custom colour it is wise to do 5-10% waste as you don't want to run out of the colour.

Lastly Hardwood Flooring needs to have time to climatize in your home. 2 weeks is recommended. It must be climatizing in a home where the heat is on and avoid cold damp places like basements. Something to factor in when ordering your floors.
